I have been trying to trace my g-g-grandfather but I have no idea where in Ireland he lived.  I only know his wife was Mary (last name unknown) and they emigrated to US between 1818-1820.  My g-grandfather, Thomas was born in 1828 and he had a brother William born in 1821 both in New York State, US.

Any advice on search would be welcome
